1985 graduated from film school at Curtin University in Perth, Western Australia
1989 moved to London to work as Camera Assistant, most notably for John Mathieson
1995 began working a Cinematographer, shooting numerous music videos and
concert films for artists including Nick Cave, REM, Norah Jones and The Corrs.
I shot over 400 TV commercials for clients including Coca Cola, McDonalds,
Jaguar, Verizon, Renault, Disney, DeBeers & Pantene. I also photographed a
number of award winning short films
2001 worked as 2nd Unit Cinematographer on the film “Buffalo Soldiers” (Joaquin
Phoenix, Anna Paquin), directed by Gregor Jordan
2004 completed additional cinematography on the film “Trauma” (Mina Suvari, Colin
Firth), directed by Marc Evans
2005 moved to Los Angeles, initially working on a concert film for Maroon 5 at the
Santa Barbara Bowl.
In June started work on the film “Intellectual Property” with director Nick Peterson.
2006 shot “Wedding Belles”, a project under the umbrella of the “Pirates of the
Caribbean” trilogy with director Jim Byrkit. September “Intellectual Property” won
the Best Cinematography prize at the 2006 Australian International Film Festival.
2009 formed the software company Chemical Wedding, making iOS software Artemis, Helios and Toland
